As momentum around the Natural Capital Protocol continues to build, several Coalition organizations are offering training and technical advice to those wishing to explore how the Natural Capital Protocol can benefit their organizations, as part of our Protocol Application Program.

As part of this initiative, eftec is running a 1-day Protocol training workshop on the 26th October in central London. This will be the first time that a group of UK businesses have come together for training on how to apply the Protocol.

The training will be delivered by eftec Directors, as well as the Director of Sustain Value, James Spurgeon. Those leading the training have all contributed to the development of the Protocol, and are authors of some of the literature on which it builds.

The training:

  • Is aimed at business personnel looking to apply and commission natural capital assessments within their business (rather than for consultants).
  • The training will provide an overview of the Protocol, with an emphasis on its materiality assessment, measurement and valuation steps.
  • At the end of the training, participants will have an improved understanding of its steps; and be better equipped to manage its use, commission analysis and interpret its outputs.

The training is free to coalition organisations looking to apply the Natural Capital Protocol within their business.

More training courses are planned to take place in the coming months. Those interested in participating should contact Ian Dickie at eftec.

Benefit from the Coalition’s unique overview of the capitals approach and community, gain insights into the latest thinking and developments and receive newsletters and project updates.
