On Thursday 4 November EFRAG welcomes its participation at a European Commission side event to COP 26. This event will start at 18:30 (CET) and will focus on the EC proposal for a CSRD and EFRAG’s work on EU sustainability reporting standards. Register here.
This EC side event to COP 26 will highlight the CSRD proposal and in particular EFRAG’s work on EU sustainability reporting standards. Against the backdrop of COP26, this event will consider EFRAG’s work in the context of key global initiatives, including the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative, the plans of the IFRS Foundation and its future International Sustainability Standards Board, and the work of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
Mairead McGuinness, European Commissioner for financial services, financial stability and the Capital Markets Union, will open the event, followed by a presentation of EFRAG’s work on EU sustainability reporting standards, including on climate disclosure, by Patrick de Cambourg, Chair of EFRAG Project Task Force on European sustainability reporting standards.
Alain Deckers (Head of Unit for Corporate Reporting, Audit & Credit Rating Agencies, European Commission), will then moderate a discussion with:
- Judy Kuszewski, Chair of the Global Sustainability Standards Board, Global Reporting Initiative
- Michel Madelain, IFRS Foundation Trustee, Chair of Technical Readiness Working Group
- Rosanna Fusco, Head of Climate Change Strategy and Positioning, Eni, and member of Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures
