“When London included green infrastructure as part of the core requirements in its Infrastructure Plan 2050 consultation, it signalled the importance of characterising networks of natural and semi-natural features as a form of infrastructure.

The idea of “natural capital” is helping to explain to businesses and government how the environment and economy are connected.
