Join Us in October At Business, Biodiversity & Natural Capital | Ambitions, Risks & Opportunities

August 29, 2017 |

International conferences on “Business, biodiversity & natural capital – Ambitions, risks & opportunities” organised on 4-5 October 2017 in Frankfurt

The EU B@B Platform and the Global Nature Fund (GNF) are joining forces in tackling the challenge for businesses in integrating biodiversity and natural capital. In a context of declining biodiversity across the globe and increasing pressures on natural resources, it is clear that all businesses across sectors will have to adapt their future strategies in order to succeed.

While many front-running companies and organisations have already started working on biodiversity and natural capital these concepts are still new for many.

The two conferences under the common motto Business, biodiversity & natural capital | Ambitions, risks & opportunities will bring these front-runners and newcomers together with leading scientists, government officials and nature conservation organisations in a unique location in the centre of Europe.

The two-day event will include:

4 October: EU B@B Annual Conference | How to set an ambition level?

5 October: Global Nature Fund | Integrating Natural Capital into Your Business

The draft agenda of the conference is now available and you can register here!

Location: Nestlé Competence Centre, Address: Lyoner Str. 23, 60528 Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

There will be no conference fees. The number of participants is limited.

One Challenge – One Location – Two Conferences

The two conferences provide an overview of current developments in the private sector, politics and science. Numerous representatives from various business sectors and all company sizes will offer an insight into their current entrepreneurial practice.

On 4 October, the Fourth EU B@B Annual Conference will address as cross cutting theme the key question: “How can businesses set an ambition level when integrating biodiversity into their activities?” featuring companies such as Credit Suisse, UPM Paper and Nestlé.

At the GNF conference on 5 October, Hugo Boss, Metro, Allianz and Eosta, among others, will provide insights into practical approaches, instruments and innovations in the field of natural capital.

The conferences combine the central issues of the integration of natural capital and provide a unique opportunity for business decision-makers to exchange experiences and make contacts.
