TEEB for Agriculture & Food Update – October 2016

October 25, 2016 |

The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity

‘TEEB for Agriculture & Food’ is currently initiating the report-writing process for its first major technical report on Scientific and Economic Foundations, and reaching out to the community-at-large for contributions, both in terms of time and knowledge.

An annotated structure (‘wireframe’) has been developed – thanks to the energy, commitment and support of the experts that participated in the inaugural writers workshop in Paris in May earlier this year – and is available online. This (still evolving) wireframe will form the basis for the months to come, both in terms of building an evidence base and assembling writing teams per chapter.

TEEB are now seeking passionate authors and contributors who want to partake in the undertaking of a comprehensive economic evaluation of agricultural systems, practices, products, along value chains and across policy scenarios, to form assessments and provide recommendations that recognize and reflect a comprehensive range of impacts and dependencies.
