Coronavirus and the International Dialogue on the Climate Emergency and the Future of Food, May 4 to 6.
As concerns grow around COVID-19, we have decided after much consultation to transform the Salzburg International Dialogue (4-6 May 2020) into a major online collaboration.

In this critical year of action for climate, this will allow us to maintain momentum to achieve our core objectives:

  • Create a space to bridge divides between sectors, geographies and generations, helping to create connections and forge alliances for transformation
  • Co-create a Shared Action Framework, identifying shared priorities and opportunities for transformation across sectors, scales and processes
  • Accelerate the urgent actions, investments and policies needed to transform food systems holistically and systemically.

Our top priority is the health, safety and well-being of participants from across the world, and the staff who make the International Dialogue happen. Global Alliance partners have already confirmed their support for this approach.

With our partner Global Alliance for the Future of Food, we are now developing a series of innovative and inclusive virtual gatherings and a flexible schedule of online meeting opportunities, supported by digital chat and survey tools. We are exploring opportunities to create engaging video content and look forward to sharing more details on these plans in the coming weeks.”
